James Moon's article, "Antitrust, Franchise and Trade Regulation Law," was published in the July edition of the Florida Bar Business Law Journal. His piece is an overview of the Credit Suisse decision, which dealt with anitrust violations by aftermarket sales of IPOs of securities.
July 11, 2008 - James Moon Appointed to the Value Adjustment Board and the Naples Code Enforcement Board
James Moon was recently appointed to the Value Adjustment Board of Collier County, acting as a special master/board member to hear property tax adjustment appeals. He was also appointed to the Napes Code of Enforcement Board to act as a special master/board member to hear ordinance violations.
June 11, 2008 - Steve Sambol Guest Speaker at the Central Florida IABC Meeting
Steve Sambol, founding shareholder of ASWMPA, spoke about the legal dangers of email communication to the Central Florida Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) on June 11, 2008 at the Citrus Club. The presentation provided an overview of the most common communications-based lawsuits as well as five ways to avoid such issues.
April 24, 2008 - ASWMPA Sponsors IOA Corporate 5K Event
On April 24, 2008, ASWMPA sponsored the Insurance Office of America's Corporate 5K. This year more than 440 corporate teams entered and a record of 10,631 registered corporate runners and walkers participated in the event. Over $60,000 were donated to the events’ charities through the Track Shack Foundation. Beneficiaries include the Parramore Kidz Zone, IOA Foundation, Orlando Runners Club and the Christian Service Center.
